You know it's a good day when a new Filipino beauty brand is born. For the past few years, local cosmetics and skincare brands have been putting in the much-needed effort to raise the standards of the Philippine beauty market, and we as consumers could only be grateful that our options have widened.
Just recently, local beauty brand Habitude was born. The brand, born out of the passion of Filipina superwomen, celebrates everyone for who they are. The Habitude Hardworking Miracle Water (P849/100ml) is a multitasking toner and hydratant in one. It gently removes makeup and dirt as it unclogs pores, tones, and moisturizes. It is formulated with clarifying and anti-aging botanicals including Galactomyces and micronutrient-rich rice ferment filtrate (Oryza sativa) for a healthy, youthful glow.
Editor's Review: Think of it like a toner, but better. It has a pleasurable scent that makes you want to keep putting it on, especially when you're out on the beach or frolicking outdoors.
The Habitude Seriously Revitalizing Serum (P949/30ml) is the ultimate glass-skin serum for an even-toned, luminous, and dewy complexion. It has high concentrations of Plant Mucin, Hyaluronic Acid (2%), and Niacinamide, blended with powerful antioxidants and heritage botanicals. Potent in every precious drop, it hydrates, repairs, and energizes the skin.
Editor's Review: Serums have been my thing lately, and sometimes, when the serum is really good, I get to skip on a thick moisturizer after. This one fits this category, in the sense that it immediately plumps and energizes my skin. It has the same scent as the Miracle Water, which I love.
The Habitude Go-Getter Moisture + Sun Stick (P550/25g) is a facial moisturizer and sunscreen in one handy stick. It is thoughtfully formulated with 20% Zinc oxide, skin-loving emollients, and antioxidant botanicals—Carrot Seed Oil, Tomato Leaf Extract, and Aloe Vera—to nourish and illuminate skin as it protects against UV damage. Naturally hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, it is mineral oil-free and has absolutely no silicone and other harmful chemicals.
Editor's Review: Apart from being a product that is completely packaged in paper, I love that it's an easy-to-lug-around product, especially for the beach. It has SPF 30, which means you may have to reapply more often throughout the day especially if you're sweating or swimming. For me, it felt like the moisturizer I skipped on after using the serum, which totally locks in the entire routine.
The amazing ingredients and product lineup aren't the only great things about their maiden collection! We love that the packaging is not just eye-popping and beautifully designed by the amazing Filipina illustrator Raxenne Maniquiz, it's also made of recyclable materials! Its tube is certified 100% compostable (zero plastic). Beautiful, and kind to the planet? Yes please!
